If you've read any of my Friday fashion posts, you know my fashion philosophy. I believe in wearing styles that complement you the best no matter what the trend is. I like styles that are classic and transcend time therefore, I am not obligated to trends. However, if I like a particular trend I will definitely customize it to fit my lifestyle and body type and rock it. When it comes to weddings, I believe the style of the bridal gown and bridesmaids' dresses should be timeless. Some brides throw caution to the wind and go with whatever the current trend is; which to some degree, it probably doesn't matter because most trends are just recycled.
If you are getting married spring or summer 2010 and you want to go with the trend, throw away those ideas of a pastel palette because the bolder the better' is the resounding theme. It's all about bold colors for spring and summer weddings-- hot pink, turquoise, and bright orange are some of the popular accessory colors.
Even though bright colors are in, the black wedding gown is still one of the top trends. 
Bright red wedding gowns are also very popular and have been seen on the runways of europe.
