Quick Tip: DIY Glowing Skin

One of my favorite at-home beauty treatments to use during the fall and winter months only requires two ingredients:
        (milk)+ (green tea)

This treatment gives my skin an instant pick-me-up and an incredible glow.

First, boil one half cup of water, place your tea bag in a cup or bowl of the hot water and let it steep.  Next, pour a one-fourth cup of ice cold milk in a medium-sized bowl and soak your washcloth.  Wring out some of the excess milk and lay the washcloth on your face for about five minutes while lying down.  Next, take another washcloth and soak it in the green tea (it should be very warm to touch, but bearable).  Wring out the excess tea and lay the washcloth on your face while lying down for about five minutes.  Finally, rinse your face with ice cold water to close your pores.
This works really well to give your skin a healthy glow because of the change from cold to hot and then cold again.  The temperature changes cause your blood to circulate, which causes the afterglow.  Protein, which is  found in the milk, is necessary for repairing skin tissue and constructing new tissue.  Antioxidants, which are found in the green tea, help neutralize the skin damage that might have occurred as a result of exposure to free radicals.  Antioxidants also help prevent and repair fine lines and wrinkles.
P.S.  For best results, please make sure to cleanse your skin prior to the treatment.
